During our thorough research, we have read hundreds of reviews from real buyers. This is what most people think of Bissell PowerEdge Lift-Off 20781:

5 reasons to buy

  • People like how affordable this steam mop is, especially since it’s a 2-in-1 mop with a detachable hand unit.
  • Most users think it works well on hard surfaces, such as wooden floors, tiles, and such.
  • In comparison to older models, this one seems to have a larger mop head, which benefits the efficiency.
  • It is easy to use, and quickly transforms into a handheld steam cleaner whenever needed.
  • The mop head is formed like a triangle, making it easier to reach narrow spaces along panels and corners.

5 reasons not to buy

  • It is worth mentioning that it seems to lose its power once it gets detached and used as a hand unit, because the attachments are quite small and therefore can be inefficient.
  • According to some users, the 16-foot cord gets annoying because it needs to be unplugged and replugged several times in order to reach all corners of a room.
  • We miss an on/off button on this steam mop, so it doesn’t keep going as long as it’s plugged in. This is quite annoying, because you have to unplug it each time you take a break.
  • The water tank has a very small opening, making it difficult to refill.
  • This steam mop doesn’t seem as efficient as other mops, perhaps due to the lower price.

The Bissell PowerEdge Lift-Off has a slightly different design in comparison to other steam mops. The mop head is triangular shaped with a pointy “nose”, which makes you able to reach further than some rectangular steam mops. It has a detachable hand unit too, making it a versatile little wonder for all-purpose cleaning. On the other hand, this IS a cheap model, and the cord seems to be annoyingly short with just 16 feet to work with. This is significantly shorter than other models, and you might have to unplug it and replug it multiple times per room. If you’re looking for an entry model, this steam mop could be the choice for you, but you should probably look into models costing just a bit more, because you might get more back for your buck.
